當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間14日和15日，南太平洋島國(guó)湯加的洪阿哈阿帕伊島發(fā)生火山噴發(fā)，首都努庫(kù)阿洛法觀測(cè)到海嘯。隨后多個(gè)國(guó)家均發(fā)布了海嘯預(yù)警，湯加引發(fā)全球關(guān)注。

火山噴發(fā)引發(fā)海嘯，湯加一度“失聯(lián)”

湯加首都努庫(kù)阿洛法以北約65公里處的洪阿哈阿帕伊島14日上午開(kāi)始發(fā)生火山噴發(fā)，15日下午再次噴發(fā)。衛(wèi)星捕捉到了湯加火山噴發(fā)的圖像。圖像顯示大量氣體裹挾煙塵形成龐大蘑菇云，在倏忽之間迅速上升穿透對(duì)流層↓

The eruptions of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano in Tonga on Friday and Saturday have a significant impact on the South Pacific island country, especially its capital Nuku'alofa.The satellite images of Xinhua's Space News Lab have captured the recent volcano eruption in Tonga's Hunga Ha'apai island.

火山噴發(fā)致使大量火山灰、氣體與水蒸氣進(jìn)入高空形成巨大云團(tuán)，噴發(fā)至高空20千米處。

The eruptions sent a plume of ash, gas and steam 20 kilometers into the air.

這座火山曾于2021年12月20日開(kāi)始，連續(xù)噴發(fā)數(shù)日。據(jù)當(dāng)?shù)氐刭|(zhì)部門負(fù)責(zé)人表示，此次噴發(fā)的威力是上次爆發(fā)的七倍。過(guò)去數(shù)幾十年間，火山也曾數(shù)次爆發(fā)。

Taaniela Kula, head of Tonga's Geological Services, said the eruption was about seven times more powerful than the last one on Dec. 20, 2021. Over the past decades, the volcano has erupted several times.

火山14日噴發(fā)后，湯加政府部門全部關(guān)閉，湯加國(guó)家海嘯預(yù)警中心發(fā)布全國(guó)海嘯預(yù)警�；鹕�15日再次噴發(fā)后，湯加國(guó)家海嘯預(yù)警中心再次發(fā)布海嘯預(yù)警，并呼吁民眾遠(yuǎn)離海灘及海岸線低洼地帶。首都努庫(kù)阿洛法的主要街道都被洪水淹沒(méi)，不少建筑物被淹。湯加國(guó)內(nèi)航班15日全部取消。

有專家表示：湯加海底火山此次噴發(fā)不同尋常，非常罕見(jiàn)。

15日傍晚時(shí)分，首都努庫(kù)阿洛法停電，與外界聯(lián)系減少。據(jù)路透社報(bào)道，截至16日，湯加的大部分電話及網(wǎng)絡(luò)通訊仍未恢復(fù)，超10萬(wàn)居民“失聯(lián)”。湯加方面也暫時(shí)沒(méi)有給出官方傷亡報(bào)告。

Tsunami-hit Tonga remained largely uncontactable on Sunday with telephone and internet links severed. Internet and phone lines went down at about 6.40 p.m. local time on Saturday, leaving the 105,000 residents on the islands virtually uncontactable. There are no official reports of injuries or deaths in Tonga. 




多國(guó)海嘯預(yù)警，聯(lián)合國(guó)愿意隨時(shí)提供支持

火山15日噴發(fā)威力巨大，斐濟(jì)、薩摩亞、瓦努阿圖等國(guó)部分地區(qū)的海水活動(dòng)異常，這些國(guó)家都緊急發(fā)布了海嘯預(yù)警。日本、澳大利亞、美國(guó)和智利等國(guó)家也相繼發(fā)布海嘯預(yù)警。
 


聯(lián)合國(guó)秘書(shū)長(zhǎng)古特雷斯15日通過(guò)發(fā)言人發(fā)表聲明，對(duì)南太平洋島國(guó)湯加一座海底火山強(qiáng)烈噴發(fā)并引發(fā)海嘯深表關(guān)切。他表示，聯(lián)合國(guó)愿意隨時(shí)提供支持。

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Saturday expressed his deep concern over the eruption and its ensuing tsunami and ashes. The United Nations offices in the Pacific are closely monitoring the situation and are on standby to provide support if requested.

17日，澳大利亞和新西蘭兩國(guó)已經(jīng)派飛機(jī)評(píng)估湯加受災(zāi)情況。

Australia and New Zealand sent surveillance flights on Monday to assess damage in Tonga.

據(jù)新華社報(bào)道，新西蘭奧克蘭大學(xué)教授沙恩•克羅寧16日表示，15日的火山噴發(fā)規(guī)模遠(yuǎn)超過(guò)2021年12月20日和2022年1月13日的兩次較早噴發(fā)，含有氣體的大量新鮮巖漿從火山口噴發(fā)，沖擊波穿越數(shù)千公里。噴發(fā)還在湯加和鄰近的斐濟(jì)和薩摩亞引發(fā)海嘯。這些跡象表明，事發(fā)地火山口已蘇醒，噴發(fā)活躍期可持續(xù)數(shù)周甚至數(shù)年，尚不清楚目前是否已達(dá)噴發(fā)的峰值。持續(xù)噴發(fā)可能給氣候帶來(lái)潛在影響。

Shane Cronin, a professor of Earth Sciences at University of Auckland, New Zealand, said the eruption was one of the biggest in Tonga in the past three decades. Experts said that it is not clear whether the eruption has reached its peak, warning of the possibility of further eruptions and their potential impact on the climate.

16日，外交部發(fā)言人汪文斌就湯加火山爆發(fā)答記者問(wèn)。

 

 

汪文斌表示：

“中方十分關(guān)注湯加火山爆發(fā)并引發(fā)海嘯、火山灰等災(zāi)害。中國(guó)駐湯加使館第一時(shí)間啟動(dòng)應(yīng)急預(yù)案，多方了解中國(guó)公民受災(zāi)情況，目前未接到中國(guó)公民傷亡的報(bào)告。中方十分關(guān)注湯加火山爆發(fā)并引發(fā)海嘯、火山灰等災(zāi)害。中國(guó)駐湯加使館第一時(shí)間啟動(dòng)應(yīng)急預(yù)案，多方了解中國(guó)公民受災(zāi)情況，目前未接到中國(guó)公民傷亡的報(bào)告。”

"China is closely watching the volcanic eruptions and ensuing disasters including tsunami and volcanic ash in Tonga. The Chinese Embassy in Tonga immediately activated emergency response mechanism and learned about the situation of Chinese citizens after the disaster through various channels. So far, no casualties of Chinese citizens have been reported."
