一個(gè)行業(yè)出幾個(gè)領(lǐng)頭人，是一個(gè)行業(yè)的好事，但要想成為領(lǐng)頭人確實(shí)很難。學(xué)術(shù)水平的高低，為人的好壞，是否有真材實(shí)料，是否為社會(huì)做出了貢獻(xiàn)，是否受人民群眾的歡迎和尊敬，這些都非常重要。腫瘤治療行業(yè)的領(lǐng)頭人還要有學(xué)者的睿智，醫(yī)者的仁心。

關(guān)于腫瘤研究，研究人員們就像是被悶在癌癥“黑洞”里，苦思冥想、潛心鉆研，也只是有一點(diǎn)新發(fā)現(xiàn)或成果出現(xiàn)，并沒(méi)有實(shí)質(zhì)性的進(jìn)展。幾十年來(lái)，化療和放療方案沒(méi)有太大的變化，新藥層出不窮，價(jià)格不斷提升，而兩者的價(jià)格已經(jīng)升到了病人無(wú)法接受的程度。大大小小的醫(yī)院幾乎把外國(guó)洋設(shè)備全部進(jìn)口到中國(guó)，硬件達(dá)到了先進(jìn)的水平，可療效并沒(méi)有得到真正的提高。先進(jìn)的加速器與幾十年不變的療效，幾乎就像兔子和烏龜在賽跑，最終能否得到寓言描述的結(jié)果？那需要腫瘤研究人員的堅(jiān)持。
On cancer research, the researchers were just like being stuffy in the cancer "black hole", cudgeling their brains, digging into study, only a bit of new discovery or results, and no substantive progress. For decades, chemotherapy and radiotherapy had not changed too much, while new drugs emerged in an endless stream, and the prices continued to increase, so the price of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy had risen to an unacceptable level of patients. Large and small hospitals almost imported all foreign equipments to China, and the hardware had reached an advanced level, while curative effect had not been really improved. The relation between advanced accelerator and unchanged curative effect for decades was almost like the race between a rabbit and a turtle in the race, can it eventually get the results described in the allegory?  It needed the adhering of oncology researchers.
 
好幾次與某些領(lǐng)導(dǎo)見面，介紹到我時(shí)就有些委婉，有的人還這樣說(shuō)：“于保法，開辦腫瘤醫(yī)院，噢，當(dāng)然還有些爭(zhēng)議。”研究癌癥的治療我也就是帶了一個(gè)頭，卻把一些莫名爭(zhēng)議歸到我一個(gè)人身上，成了對(duì)我個(gè)人的爭(zhēng)議，我表示不理解。
For several times I met some leaders who were somewhat euphemistic to introduce me, someone even said like this "Yu Baofa, who had opened the tumor hospital, oh, of course, there is some controversy." I only played a leading role on research of cancer treatment, yet some inexplicable dispute was upon me, becoming my personal dispute, I don't understand about it.
 
我并不是、也不想一個(gè)人在行業(yè)里單打獨(dú)斗，但公立醫(yī)院與私立醫(yī)院實(shí)質(zhì)上就不在一個(gè)起跑線上。解放前，醫(yī)院大多是民營(yíng)經(jīng)營(yíng)，如北京協(xié)和醫(yī)院建院時(shí)就是私立醫(yī)院。山東的齊魯醫(yī)院初期也是外國(guó)人個(gè)人籌資興建的。解放后，中國(guó)的醫(yī)院都改為公有化，但是其為病人服務(wù)的性質(zhì)沒(méi)有變，永遠(yuǎn)也不能變。20世紀(jì)90年代開始，國(guó)內(nèi)才逐漸有了私立醫(yī)院的出現(xiàn)，間隔了50年，私立醫(yī)院再次興起，相關(guān)的配套政策、管理規(guī)范和措施等卻沒(méi)有相應(yīng)的規(guī)定。實(shí)際上，目前的私立醫(yī)院在夾縫中發(fā)展。

It was no matter If cancer could have been completely cured, then competition among hospitals is the only competition in the service quality.
 
問(wèn)題是所有公立醫(yī)院在癌癥的治療上雖處于整體的優(yōu)勢(shì)，但要具體到癌癥的治療、病人的生活質(zhì)量和療效上，大醫(yī)院也沒(méi)有優(yōu)勢(shì)可言。病人要療效，病人要生活質(zhì)量，病人就有權(quán)利擇院擇醫(yī)，找療效滿意的醫(yī)院，病人可以判斷出療效的好與不好，所以腫瘤醫(yī)院提高療效是發(fā)展的根本。
All public hospitals were at integrally advantages in the treatment of cancer, while they had no advantage at all on the specific aspects such as the treatment, the quality of patients’ life and the efficacy of cancer treatment.
